Redbourn
Golf Club
With members preferring a more flexible approach to how clubhouse facilities are set up, whether for general socialising, dining or working, the demand for multi-functional spaces, that can also accommodate functions and are also family-friendly, is increasing.

This was the starting point to the brief defined by Hope & Co. in consultation with the management team at Redbourn. Working within the layout plan of the existing clubhouse, our design team proposed a careful rebalancing of existing and underutilised bar, formal and casual dining spaces. The improvements included a new Cafe Bar in the space that was previously part of the main entrance and access into the pro shop, with the enhanced ability to access an exterior terrace with views of the golf course.

Adjacent spaces for more upscale casual dining and family-friendly spaces sit either side of the newly refurbished central bar fixture. The formal dining area, previously accommodating 90 seats, was much too large for the membership, with many tables remaining unused most nights and weekends. The replan reduced this area to seat 40, which provided additional flexible space for other use. Updated finishes, lighting and furniture complete the refurbishment of the now fully functioning and flexible spaces.
