HOPE & Co.

Having long been a popular choice with golfers due to its two beautiful courses, Birchwood undertook an ambitious and extensive redesign,with the accompanying country club facilities now matching the golfing experience.

 

Approached by the client, and working alongside the scheme's architectural team, Hope & Co. was pleased to be involved with the interior design schemes, helping enhance the existing clubhouse, as well as creating a standout sports and leisure destination.

Highlights of the new state-of-the-art facilities include a hydrotherapy pool and panoramic sauna in the new spa, a luxury gym, and a 25 metre swimming pool in the new extension, as well as a newly remodelled pro shop and main reception area.

Vonnie Hope, Design Director at Hope & Co. explains: "We looked at each space independently. The reception area, for example, needed to be welcoming, clean and bright, the hub between the existing venue and new sports facilities. The fitness studios are more dynamic in terms of the finishes and use of colour, the LED feature lighting complements the luxury finishes in the spa, which includes a night-sky effect hydrotherapy pool, steam room and panoramic sauna.

It was important that the club remained open while work was carried out and disruption was kept to a minimum. The project was thus divided into phases.
